The Call the Midwife tour will take you both around many of the locations used to film the BBC1 period drama. You will be led by your own tour guide 'midwife' who will tell you anecdotes and behind-the-scenes stories from the film set. Call the midwife first aired in 2012 and regularly gets over 10 million viewers per episode. During your tour you will receive entry to the Chatham Historic Dockyard many parts of which have appeared in the show. See familiar settings from scenes involving the famed cast including Miranda Hart and Jessica Raine. The dockyard has been used to film countless TV and film productions as it retains original features and ships dating back hundreds of years. You’ll pass through the slums and warehouses the area that the midwives cycle through on their way to help mothers given birth. This brilliant walking tour will visit all the most recognisable locations from the show.

You will meet at the Memorial between HMS Cavalier and HMS Ocelot inside Chatham Dockyard where you will start the 90 minute tour of Call the Midwife locations. Your guide will keep you informed of stories relating to the location and scenes filmed there. You will receive entry into the Chatham Dockyard as part of the tour; the historic venue is used in many scenes. See roads slums and warehouses that the midwives cycle past on the way to help deliver babies. It will be an exciting outing that fans of the period drama will love.
