Introduction to Owl Handling

Head to Eagle Heights in Kent for a magnificent experience with some of the worlds most intriguing and majestic birds. Perhaps you’ll meet an eagle owl or a tawny owl… either way you will be sure to see them fly high above you and witness their speed and grace. An experienced owl handler will guide you in your handling of the birds and you will receive hands-on experience during your visit. Once you are done with the birds why not take a look around the rest of the park and say hello to a few snakes or mammals? There’s plenty to see and you should definitely take your camera.

On arrival you will join a small group of other owl lovers to be welcomed by the keeper. You will then be given an introduction to the owls; you will meet a few of them and learn a little bit about their life and their habitat in the wild. After some basic handling instruction it is time to experience the excitement first hand as you fly them loose and have them return to your gloved fist. There will be plenty of opportunities for photographs so don’t forget your camera.
