Experience what it’s like to be a proper ‘truckie’ and learn to navigate a mammoth 55ft vehicle. Take control of this huge machine for an exhilarating adventure on the Truck Driving Experience.  The incredible monster of a vehicle has an impressive 16 gears for you to master. Jump in the driver’s seat and discover what the DAF XF tractor unit and powerful 480bhp engine are capable of. You will take the truck around a purpose-built course with a professional HGV instructor in the seat beside you for guidance.  You will learn how to manoeuvre the enormous truck around the course and experience driving like never before. At the end you will be awarded a certificate as a souvenir of your experience. This experience is available at two locations in Leicestershire and Yorkshire.

When you arrive at your chosen location you will receive a short safety briefing before you are able to step up inside the truck. Here you will receive instructions and when you feel confident start the vehicle. With you in the driver’s seat you will take the vehicle around a purpose built course with guidance from a professional HGV instructor who will accompany you on the drive. You’ll practice by weaving your way through cones try your hand at reversing the 55ft vehicle and try to master the 16 gears. At the end you will receive a certificate as a souvenir.
